OK, I haven’t been good about keeping up with my monthly reports. I’m only a few months in and already falling behind!
I took a long vacation in August and just bought a new home, so it’s all for good reasons. In any event, here are my July numbers:
In an effort to try and be timely with these reports, I only report on my gross revenue, both for my Yahoo store and Amazon. I do have some other online and offline income, but these reports will focus only on income associated with product sales.
As I mentioned towards the end of my June Income Report, my Yahoo Store , July was looking better than June. I’m still way off from my pre-Penguin “normal”, but I’m happy to see that things have come back up from the prior month.
What Happened in July?
As noted in my prior reports, I added some new products to my Amazon offerings, but didn’t really do to much with my ecommerce store. My revenue breakdown for July was as follows:
July 2012 Income Breakdown
- Yahoo Store (July):
- Total sales: $3,069.29
- Unique visitors: 9,553
- Page views/visitor: 3.85
- Orders: 41
- Avg. order size: $74.86
For comparision, my June revenue was $1,818.26 with 35 orders. I’m glad to see my average order value was up, even though the total number of orders hasn’t increased significantly. $74.86 is actually higher than my typical order average of about $60.
I also saw my Amazon numbers increase quite a bit.
- Amazon (July):
- Total sales: $9,979.36
- Orders: 525
- Avg. order size: $19.01
This compares to $8,569.90 in revenue for June with 456 orders.
So, in total I had gross revenue of $13,048.65 for July 2012.
I’m very happy with this compared to the $10,388 I had in June, but I’d love to see my Yahoo Store improve even further.
