Since I fell behind on my reports, you’re getting back-to-back updates.
What Happened in August?
Not much. As noted in my prior report, I took a long vacation in August and bought a new home, so I actually didn’t have much time to work on things. Here’s where we ended up for the month:
August 2012 Income Breakdown
- Yahoo Store (August):
- Total sales: $3,011.89
- Unique visitors: 9,160
- Page views/visitor: 3.93
- Orders: 52
- Avg. order size: $57.92
For comparision, my July revenue was $3,069.29 with 41 orders. Total sales are pretty much consistent, which is good considering June was so bad. Total orders are up, which is also good, but my average order size is down from $74.86 the prior month. $57.92 is more in line with my long-term average, though, so I’m not surprised or concerned about the drop here.
Amazon is down quite a bit from the prior month, but I’m not quite sure why. I did receive some negative feedback from a customer, which lowered my overall feedback rating a bit, although it’s still in the high-90’s, which is pretty good. It’s hard to say if that was the cause, though…it may just be the time of year.
- Amazon (August):
- Total sales: $8,590.90
- Orders: 418
- Avg. order size: $20.55
This compares to $9,979 in revenue for July with 525 orders. So, in total I had gross revenue of $11,603 for August 2012. Although generally happy with my Amazon volume, it was still dissapointing to see it down from the prior month…I was really hoping to have my total revenue above $13,000 like it was in July.
