You’ve probably noticed that I’ve posted about Amazing Selling Machine (“ASM”) with updates several times since it launched, but it seemed necessary because the opportunity and marketplace has changed so rapidly during this time. My opinions have evolved, so it makes sense to have updated my thoughts.
However, rather than continuing to add new posts, I’ve decided to make this the last review post and will update it periodically. As noted below, you can see the last time it was updated.
Below is my Amazing Selling Machine Review
Updated: September 2015
The content itself is high quality and very well organized/presented (definitely better than it’s primary competitors), although it can be a little basic at times. I’d like to see them offer more advanced material, but they have indicated that modules will be updated with the October 2015 launch.
In fact, they are supposed to include modules on how to begin selling in international Amazon marketplaces, which should add a lot of value to the membership.
ASM offers a private formal community and Facebook group. The Facebook group seems to dominate the discussions, but both are very active.
I like the fact that the community has better search functionality, but the truth is I tend to only check in on the Facebook group because it’s so much easier to access.
Activity is very fast paced, so it can be tough to stay on top of all the discussions, but the benefit is that you can get just about any question answered within minutes.
Unique Selling Proposition
A question I get asked very often is:
“Is Amazing Selling Machine worth the price?”
It costs nearly $5,000, so it’s a fair question considering there are a few other popular courses available for much less. But there must be a reason why ASM can charge such a premium price and still sell so well, right?
Well, yes and no.
There was a time when ASM was clearly the best resource for selling private label products on Amazon. If you wanted to implement this business model, there just weren’t very many options. However, this has changed over time and now you have options with respect to purchasing a course.
So, why is ASM still so valuable? There’s no doubt that the content is excellent and the community is strong, but (surprisingly) the differentiating factor is the affiliate system that’s been built up around them.
I’ll explain what I mean in a moment, but let me outline how an affiliate system works in general, in case anyone isn’t familiar with it.
Many products available online work on an affiliate system where people can earn a commission by referring someone who makes a purchase. This is very common and it’s how I get compensated for purchasing a course, spending time going through it, writing a review and speaking with people about their options). So, if you purchase a product by using one of my affiliate links after reading a review, I’ll earn a commission.
In general, the more a course costs, the higher the commission is, so this creates a competitive market between affiliates. Because ASM is a premium-priced course, affiliates work VERY hard putting together valuable bonuses in an effort to generate sales (commissions). This is an effort to differentiate themselves from other affiliates, but they’ve really got to offer something of value to stand out. This results in buyers receiving excess value with their purchase.
To put it simply (assuming you purchase ASM through an affiliate with a good bonus), you’ll receive the course (ASM), plus additional bonus value. If you choose the right bonus, it can absolutely make a difference in your ability to succeed and THAT is why ASM is worth a premium price.
It’s kind of odd, but the fact that they charge a higher price is what ultimately made them more valuable.
With that in mind, if you don’t have any interest in a bonus offering, there’s little additional value in purchasing ASM relative to competing courses and you would be better off purchasing a less expensive product (although I haven’t yet seen the updated October 2015 ASM material).
In terms of my own bonus offer, I’ve partnered with one of the top affiliates to provide a significant amount of bonuses, and I will add some additional 1-on-1 sessions on top of this. This is a SERIOUS amount of value, but I like to personally communicate with anyone who’s interested in buying through me as an affiliate. If you’d like more info about the bonus, please email me at email@example.com or call/text me at 917-338-9644.
