Updated: July 2017
You probably know that I’m a big believer in the business model of selling private label items on Amazon. It’s how I was able to build a $1 million business in less than a year and has changed my life. Now I try to introduce this business model to others, but I want to point out that it’s much more difficult than it was when I first started with ASM in 2013. Not only is there much more competition as people started hearing that you could make “a lot” of money, but Amazon has also changed their policies regarding what sellers are/aren’t allowed to do in response to sellers trying to manipulate the ranking algorithm. You can still make great money selling on Amazon, but the approach I take has evolved over time to reflect the aforementioned changes.
So that presents the obvious question: What’s the best way to learn how to sell on Amazon?
When I first started, your only options to learn this business were to purchase Amazing Selling Machine (“ASM”), or try to figure it out yourself through trial and error (which could cost you a lot more than the cost of the course if you weren’t careful).
Because of this, I was promoting ASM unconditionally. Many other courses were released shortly after ASM’s initial success, but even though they were significantly less expensive, they were also lacking in some way. The two I liked the most were Proven Private Label and Build Grow Scale because they were good value for the price. I was comfortable recommending them as an Amazing Selling Machine alternative, but there was still a sense of frustration because of what I felt they were missing.
As the industry has evolved, more courses have been released and a lot of good information is now available for free on the Internet. While a lot of the free information is good, the biggest issue is that you don’t know how good or up to date the information is. As I mentioned earlier, this business has changed over time and it continues to change quickly. Both my product selection and launch processes are different than they were a year ago, so you may find that the process you take doesn’t work (or worse, now violates Amazon’s selling policies) if you’re following old information. For that reason, I’m only going to focus on paid courses here.
So, let me give you a little background…
As a successful affiliate for ASM, I’ve had the honor of helping to introduce more than 1,000 members to the course and have personally coached hundreds of people during some of their earlier launches. That experience, together with being a private label seller myself, provides me with a pretty good sense of what kind of information people are looking for.
I’m proud to say that these experiences provide me with a unique perspective when I review a course and I try hard to give as much information as I can.
With this in mind, there are some real viable alternatives that I can recommend now:
- Import Empire Jumpstart Group now known as Ecommerce Empire (by the Startup Bros)
- Marketplace Superheroes
- Import Dojo
- Ecomm Elite
I’ve also reviewed a couple of other courses that I am not comfortable recommending at this time:
This isn’t a full blown review of the courses. Rather, it’s more of a summary comparison between the more popular ASM alternatives that are now available. I do have a more comprehensive Import Empire review, Marketplace Superheroes review, Import Dojo review and Ecomm Elite review that are worth reading through.

Both Marketplace Superheroes and Import Empire hold webinars from time to time, so I recommend you check them out if you’d like to find out more detail beyond this post:
Note: You may have seen me recommend some courses in the past that I no longer recommend today (like Proven Private Label or Build Grow Scale). While I don’t regret recommending them in the past, other courses that have launched more recently are just better options.
Amazing Selling Machine Alternatives – The Comparison
First, I’d like to outline what I look for when recommending a course:
- [TRAINING] Clear and complete core training. There will always be things that core training can’t address, but it should provide a comprehensive high level overview of the process in a clear and concise format. Ideally, it should also explain the thought process behind various actions as much as possible.
- [COMMUNITY] A community with active leadership. It’s not enough to just have a community that’s active with members. You also need to have active leadership so buyers don’t feel “lost”. This also helps foster discussions and relationships between other members and this support can provide people with the confidence to take action. An active community is probably the most important thing I like to see.
- [USP] A unique selling proposition that differentiates the course. It’s not uncommon for someone to launch a course that’s basically just a repackaged version of something that already exists. Unless a course can offer a unique spin on the business model or offer additional value in some other way, it’s probably not worth purchasing.
Of course, this is all done in the context of price. I don’t mind if a course doesn’t have all of these things, but it should be priced accordingly relative to the other options.
Import Empire / Ecommerce Empire (Startup Bros)
- TRAINING: I’ve only come across this course more recently, but it’s actually been available for purchase for a while, so they’ve created a lot of awesome content. Actually, it’s A LOT of content…probably more than any of the other alternatives. They also hold regular webinars for members.
- COMMUNITY: Import Empire has a very active Facebook Group, with active leadership, but I’m also very pleased to see that they recently added a non-Facebook forum. This is something I’m a big advocate of because Facebook Groups just aren’t practical for a training environment. Posts get lost over time, making it tough to develop a database of knowledge. Having a separate forum that’s easier to search really does help to archive this content, so I’m glad to see they realize how valuable this is.
- USP: Their team tries to be very hands on and make it easy for you to reach out to them personally. This, together with the quality content and active forum, make it a very compelling offer. I highly recommend you try to catch one of their webinars to learn more about their offer.
After I heard about the course, I had a chance to speak with one of the owners (Kyle) personally. I was really impressed with what these guys and like the passion and dedication they have towards continually adding value. In fact, when I spoke with one of the owners, he described their philosophy in terms of the “3 C’s”: Content, Community, Coaching. As noted above, Content & Community are key factors in what I look for, and they deliver Coaching (very hands-on leadership) as the USP I look for.
The links provided above are for the webinar, which I highly recommend watching. However, if you want to get started right away, you can access the checkout page directly:
If you’d like more info, please make sure you read through the comprehensive review referenced earlier.
- TRAINING: Excellent, including monthly webinars. I also like the emphasis that the training puts a heavy emphasis on researching your product, which is probably the most important step in the process. In fact, they dedicate three full modules to this topic. The content has been recently updated, so it’s fairly fresh.
- COMMUNITY: Although it’s still small relative to something like ASM, the owners are engaged and active in the community. I was pleased to see that I also recognized some experienced sellers in the community. The downside is that while the experts respond to just about every topic, there isn’t a ton of activity. There’s definitely activity as they have a pretty good base of members, but I would like to see the volume increase a little more.
- USP: The founders are very experienced sellers in Amazon’s international marketplaces. These markets are not nearly as saturated as Amazon US and I haven’t seen anyone else touch on this opportunity as much as Marketplace Superheroes has, although ASM does now include an International Module as well. However, these guys are from Ireland, so they know how to navigate the EU process extremely well and I have personally learned some valuable things that I didn’t know before.
Also, the course includes access to software that not only helps you find products, but helps you manage your inventory and cash flow on an ongoing basis. I don’t use their software anymore since there are now other available options, but I want to point out what’s included.
Additional Comments: Like Import Empire, this is a great, moderately priced alternative to Amazing Selling Machine. The content is really strong and I do like that the leadership is very knowledgeable and directly active. I also really like that they dive into the minutia of some topics that other courses only touch on…this shows the level of experience they have in this business.
They seem to be highly focused on continuing to improve the course, and with their recent update I feel good about recommending the course. I used to think they were light on content in some areas, but this has mostly been addressed and I consider it to be a strong course at a reasonable price.
Again if you’d like more info, please make sure you read through the comprehensive review referenced earlier.
- TRAINING: Excellent
- COMMUNITY: Excellent. While the owners (Matt & Jason) are not actively involved in the community, there are appointed mentors who take on a leadership role. With thousands of existing members, questions can be answered in minutes.
- USP: Their experience and the size of their community. The course also includes access to proprietary software for the first year.
Additional Comments: ASM has been around for a couple of years now, so they have updated their training several times based on feedback from real members. While the course is expensive, they have mastered the process. To be honest, I don’t attribute much value to the tools they offer. They are an expensive option at $3,497, so I would only recommend it if cost isn’t a concern. For the most part though, you can get a reasonably priced alternative at around $1,000, so that’s what I generally suggest for most people.
That being said, because of the larger affiliate commission, I am able to offer one-on-one support to members who purchase through my affiliate link, so you would have an experienced coach to help walk you through the process. I’ve partnered with one of the top affiliates to provide a significant amount of bonuses, and I will add some additional 1-on-1 sessions on top of this. This is a SERIOUS amount of value, but I like to personally communicate with anyone who’s interested in buying through me as an affiliate. If you’d like more info about the bonus, please email me at dax@daxdeegan.com or call/text me at 917-338-9644.
My most recent ASM review is from 2015, but I’ll try to update it soon. Even though this post isn’t a full-blown review, the comments above do represent my current thoughts as of 2017.
- TRAINING: Not that great. They covered most of what you’d expect, plus some cool extra tips, but it still seemed bland and I think most people would come away feeling like they missed something.
- COMMUNITY: There used to be good activity (although lack of visibility from the course creators), but it’s not very active now.
- USP: Using a live product launch as a case study (but they didn’t do a great job with this).
Tanner Larsson and Los Silva teamed up with Ryan Coisson and Daniel Audunsona to create a new course called Ecom Masters. The guys behind it know their stuff, but the course is lacking. The content is mostly the same as a course previously launched by Tanner and Los (Build Grow Scale), although they improved on the offer by adding some additional material.
One thing I really liked is that they launched a product “live”, where you could follow along as a case study. This was a really cool idea, but I feel like they haven’t done a great job in using it as an education tool. The whole course seems kind of like an afterthought for the partners, and the way they handled the case study was kind of like an example of that.
It’s unfortunate because the four guys behind it (Tanner Larsson, Los Silva, Ryan Coisson and Daniel Audunson) definitely know how to successfully sell on Amazon. They didn’t offer a community at first, but I have to give them credit for adding a Facebook group during the process. The only one of the team I’ve really seen comment at all is Ryan. The others may be doing work behind the scenes, but Ryan has been the most visible. They officially designated someone to run the Facebook group, which helps keep it active, but she doesn’t seem to be as much of an expert as the course creators. She’s done a good job managing the group, so I’m not saying that to take anything away from her, but you’re not getting great access to the guys who created the course. As you know, this is something I like to see.
So, bottom line, I know this team is capable of putting together excellent training – I really like some of what I’ve seen, but I feel like it fell short overall. I’d personally recommend you pass on this one.
I’m not even sure if this course is still available, but I’m keeping this review posted in case it relaunches. I’ve seen other courses from these guys over the years and wouldn’t recommend something from any of them going forward. It seems like they have their hands in too many things and my concern is that Ecom Masters is more of an afterthought for them.
- TRAINING: Average. They covered a lot of the right points, but I felt that there were just too many gaps in the training. They will be updating the training in Fall 2017, but as of July the content is a few years old. If they are taking a few years between updates, it’s not a course you want to purchase.
- COMMUNITY: Available, with limited leadership. It’s not sufficiently active in my opinion.
- USP: They have a unique spin on product selection and they also put more of an emphasis on branding.
Additional Comments: Note that it has now been added as part of the Proven Amazon Course, so it comes with information regarding a lot of other Amazon business models in addition to private labeling. It may still be a worthwhile purchase if you’re interested in the other models, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a standalone private label course anymore.
Even though it’s the least expensive of all private label options, if you’re serious enough about the business to want to purchase a course, I’d probably recommend Marketplace Superheroes or ASM, depending on your budget.
Although I’ve written separate reviews for Import Dojo and Ecomm Elite, I haven’t had time to incorporate them into this “ASM Alternatives” post, but I do like both and would recommend you check out those reviews if you’d like to learn more. I’ll try to update this post soon.
Recap
Just to be clear, I am not recommending Proven Private Label or Ecom Masters.
Amazing Selling Machine is still the “Cadillac” of private label courses for those who can afford the price tag (especially if you take advantage of a bonus offer that includes personal coaching), but I can also recommend Import Empire, Marketplace Heroes, Ecomm Elite or Import Dojo to anyone looking for a strong, but less expensive alternative.
When comparing the recommended alternatives, it’s hard to say which one is the best choice. They are each strong, but the one that’s right for you depends on a couple of things, like: level of experience, learning style, need for personal attention, etc. I’ll summarize my thoughts below, but I encourage you to read through the more thorough reviews I mentioned above if any of these interest you:
- Import Empire review – a lot of great content, but I don’t recommend it if you can get overwhelmed with too much information. There’s almost too much to go through, so I’d recommend another course if you want really focused content.
- Marketplace Superheroes review – excellent content and it’s been recently updated. The biggest drawback is that their community isn’t as active as I’d like, but it’s a solid course at a good price point. It’s probably the best balance of price and quality right now.
- Ecomm Elite review – excellent quality, but they don’t focus exclusively on private label. Part of their training teaches how to purchase from wholesalers and resell on Amazon, so their community discusses both strategies. Although their course is very good, the fact that it’s a monthly subscription could turn people off, especially since their price has increased over time and the cost of ASM has come down. Ecomm Elite was much less expensive when I first reviewed it, but now you’d pay more for the course over time than you would for an ASM membership. You do get some tools included with your membership, but I’d only recommend Ecomm Elite if you’re interested in more than just private label.
- Import Dojo review – Very strong content regarding the product selection and importing process, but not as strong with respect to actually selling products on Amazon. He’s got the mechanics down, but I don’t think his strategies are that good. They have different tiers of membership, but the one I would recommend if you’re considering a purchase is their Masterclass option at $497. I personally think the course was worth the price just for the education on sourcing and importing, but you’d want to have another way to better lean the Amazon side of things.
My opinions change over time as courses are updated, but if you’re just looking for a focused private label course at a reasonable price, I’d say Marketplace Superheroes is your best bet right now.
Feel free to let me know if there are any other specific courses you’d like me to check out.
I know this may still be a big decision for you, so feel free to ask any questions in the comment area down below. I’m also happy to have a complementary call or Skype session if you’d like to discuss anything. Feel free to call/text me at 917-338-9644 or send me an email at dax@daxdeegan.com to set something up.
Note: In addition to being an experienced private label seller, I am also an affiliate for all the courses mentioned in this post and would earn a commission on anything you purchase through a link on this page. However, I do like to direct people to the course that makes the most sense for them, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
The opinions in this post are based on my personal experience with each of the courses. Regardless of what you decide to do, I encourage you to speak with someone who has experience selling private label products on Amazon.
why did you change your mind on the proven private label course and are you still offering the bonus to that course?
Proven Private Label was the only decent alternative to ASM that was available for a while. It’s good and inexpensive, but there are a lot of gaps in the training and the community didn’t develop like I had hoped it would. However, for the price, it was still a great option for people who didn’t want to spend thousands on a course.
So, the reason I stopped recommending it is not because anything changed about Proven Private Label itself. It’s because better options have materialized since I first made the recommendation.
(I should note that Import Empire has apparently been available for a while, but I only became aware of it more recently).
As I said in the post, Proven Private Label does still have its place since it’s still the least expensive option and, now that it comes as part of Proven Amazon Course, there’s training on other Amazon business models included with your purchase.
However, now that there are other courses available, it just doesn’t provide as much relative value. Even though the other courses are more expensive, they provide significantly more value and don’t cost as much as ASM. Did that make sense?
That being said, my bonus for PPL is still available if you’d like to purchase it.
If the 2 above which would be the better for someone who has some Amazon selling experience and are any bonuses offered.
It’s a tough call between Import Empire and Marketplace Heroes. The good thing about Marketplace Heroes is that the content is excellent and well structured. I also like that they put an emphasis on some things that you don’t find in other courses (like selling internationally), as well as offering some good research tools.
The only downside to Marketplace Heroes is that it’s still developing because it’s very new. However, the owners are personally active in the Facebook Group, which is a very good sign.
Import Empire is a little different. They have a ton of excellent content and an extremely active Facebook Group (plus separate forum), but you don’t get some of the unique things that Marketplace Heroes covers. The amount of content they provide can actually be a little overwhelming.
So, which do I recommend? It kind of depends on how important the different elements are to you. I personally lean a little more towards Import Empire because of how active their community is. Plus, they have a very reasonable payment plan…much better than most of the other options.
I still really like Marketplace Heroes a lot, but the fact that they haven’t quite turned the corner in terms of community activity is what gives me just a little hesitation. That being said, I’m sure they will be adding a lot of new members in the next few weeks with the ASM frenzy, so it could be a non-issue. If you’ve already got some experience and you know you’ll be selling internationally in the near term, I would go with Marketplace Heroes.
You can’t go wrong with either one though. Honestly, if you have the time, I’d probably recommend you try to catch the webinars that both courses are offering and see what’s a better fit for you.
I hadn’t put together any bonuses for these other courses, but I could include access to a private forum I manage.
Thanks I’ll watch the webinars then decide. Ted
Hi Dax,
Thank you for all of your helpful reviews and keeping it transparent – it can be tough to make a decision when most of the reviews for all these programs tend to sound a little “too good to be true”.
I’m highly interested in ASM however it’s pretty pricey for my current budget, although it sounds like a worthwhile investment as soon as I am able to afford it.
I do not have ANY experience selling on Amazon or doing eCommerce for myself although I’ve sold for others on eBay and used to manage a Shopify account for a start-up business for a few months. I’m a quick learner and pretty internet savvy.
I’m extremely interested in getting into this business for myself and putting the time, energy and work into it to make it successful.
That being said (little to no experience but ambitious!) – what would you recommend I start with?
– Marketplace Superheros (seems very user-friendly – but pretty new in the game)
– Import Empire (also seems user-friendly but if it contains LOTS of information – that can be overwhelming to someone just starting out)
Or should I simply save up for ASM! It just sounds by far superior to any of the other courses.
Thanks for your help.
-Sofia
@Sophia,
Those are great questions. First, let’s start with ASM. It’s an excellent course, but if it’s out of your budget, I’d say you’re better off getting started with one of the other courses rather than waiting until you can save up to pay the fee. Taking action trumps everything else.
Regarding Marketplace Superheroes and Import Empire, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Marketplace Superheroes is probably a little more user friendly in terms of being able to digest the information, but I’d still lean towards Import Empire. It’s a lot of content, but it’s still fairly well organized, so even if you can only remember the process at a high level, the community support should help keep you on track. Just don’t be shy to ask questions as needed.
I made this offer to someone yesterday, so I guess I’ll make it official. I’ll give anyone who purchases Import Empire or Marketplace Heroes through one of my links access to a private area of my community as a bonus.
Thanks for your quick reply, Dax.
I suppose if I can start somewhere with Import Empire, then eventually get onto ASM once things are rolling and there is some profit being made (meaning I will also be able to afford it!).
I really appreciate your bonus as well! Please let me know how I can purchase them via you.
All the best,
Sofia
You can purchase Startup Bros directly by using the following link:
http://www.startupbros.com/join-dax
Please forward your purchase receipt to dax@daxdeegan.com and I’ll add you to a group.
Dax my man, you have helped me tremendously, I will forward my receipt
Great. I’m glad to hear the post was helpful, Clem!
There are a lot of new members joining all these courses that provide an alternative to ASM, but I have to say I’m most impressed with Marketplace Superheroes right now. I’d been giving a little bit of an edge to Startup Bros because of how active their community is, but as I see new members join Marketplace Superheroes, the quality seems to really stand out.
Their community is becoming increasingly active, which may make them the strongest alternative right now.
All these courses are trying to step up, so keep in mind that this could change again.
Hi,
Thanks for your post.
I found another course called FBA Headstart created by Mark Scott Adams.
Do you have any thoughts about it? Is it a good course?
Thanks a lot.
Benoit
Hi Benoit,
I’ve heard of the course, but have never looked at it so I don’t have any comments right now.
Dax, any thoughts on PAC – Proven Amazon Course by Jim Cockrum he has a solid reputation, I’m sure you are aware of him…
Hey Kevin,
Sorry for the late reply on this. PAC has it’s place, but you should really know what business model you want to pursue before you purchase it. If you looking to get into retail arbitrage, it’s a good resource. However, it’s very weak on private labeling, so I wouldn’t recommend it if that’s what you’re interested in.
Hi Dax,
Hope everything is great!
Would you happen to know if Ecom Masters has improved, or added valuable content for the October 2015 edition?
Thanks
Antonio – I just logged into my account to see what’s changed, but the videos aren’t working for some reason. I don’t know if it’s on my end or theirs, but I’ll try again later on. However, it doesn’t look like the structure of anything has changed…
I think today is the last day to purchase their course during this launch, so it’s possible that any changes won’t take place until after the cart closes.
I let the chance pass by on ASM6 because of the price tag. I know it is the Midas course, but couldn’t hit the price tag.
On the other hand I am very convinced and looking forward to try Marketplace Superheroes ASAP. But I just came across on Ecom Masters sales letter right now, and even though I know these guys are marketing pros, it still looks impressive.
http://ecommasters.com/salesletter.html
Now I can’t decide…
If by any chance you can take a quick look and provide a humble opinion, I’d appreciate it.
Thanks for even answering my comment Dax,
BR
Sure. I’ll try again on another computer later today. However, I’m not optimistic. I thought their sales letter looked great before and I was ultimately let down.
Also, Tanner and Los recently inked a partnership deal with Clickbank that looks like it’ll take up a lot of their time. I just don’t see them putting enough resources to make this as good as what I think they are capable of.
Awesome,
Thank you very much!
Antonio,
I checked some of the videos, but I don’t see anything noticeably different. They may intend to update information with the new class, but right some important information is stale and outdated so I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending it even if it were free. The Facebook group discusses things “real time”, but I really don’t see much value in the core training unless they update it.
Dax,
Once more, thank you for taking the time to reply and for searching deeper into any updates from that course.
I really appreciate it!
Great Weekend,
Regards
No problem. I wish I could recommend them because I know they are capable of doing much better.
I wanted to give ASM a try but in my opinion that’s tooooo much money to spend on a course when you could be using that towards your business. I felt like it wasn’t meant to attract people who are just starting out in this industry but those who have already established small businesses and aren’t getting the results they want. People who have 5k to blow on a 12 week course. I think that people starting out should do their homework and/or find a cheaper course! I love that you give those options and don’t try to sell everyone on the ASM dream!
Trice, thanks for your feedback!
Hi Dax! I just bought AmaSUITE version 4 package and found their training good and tools also useful in finding the right product. However, I am interesting in know how much better (if at all) other programs are and how powerful their tools are getting started with Private Labeling?
Best
Sebastian
@Sebastian,
I’ve outlined what I think of each course in pretty good detail, but let me know if you have specific questions about any of them. In terms of the tools that each one has, Marketplace Superheroes and Ecomm Elite offer the best options. I’d probably lean more towards Ecomm Elite though.
None of the other courses really offer tools that I find particularly useful.
Hi Dax,
I hope everything is going well!
I do not know exactly why, but I decided to give Startup Bros/Import Empire a try. Since I joined about two weeks earlier than their new course, I started going through the training of their last course. I can see the value in the information they provide, but am not happy with the lengthy videos (120-180 minute videos). They said that for the new course the videos will be shorter, but so far they’re the same length.
My original idea was to join Marketplace Superheroes, because I contacted them and their response really encouraged me. But know, I just noticed you commented on this “Ecommerce Elite” program.
Once again I will bother you with your suggestion!
– Startup Bros/Import Empire: They provide alot of information in the subject, they provide good discounts regarding the “tools” you can supplement your work with, the community is pretty active.
– Marketplace Superheroes: I like the approach of the owners/trainers, pioneers in teaching how to start in different countries at the same time, their software seems friendly.
– Ecommerce Elite: I know very little about these program but in their sales letter they promise no extra charge for the softwares/tools involved. But, they have annual fees instead of a fixed price.
What would you suggest at this moment, a moment that seems alot more people coming into Amazon?
Thanks and BR,
Antonio
@Antonio,
I really like Ecomm Elite right now. I have to update my review now that it’s been available for a while, but these guys are over delivering.
They do spend more time than I had expected on non-private label strategies, but the methods they teach work, so I won’t hold that against them. You could ignore that part of the training and go right to the private label content, but I think it’s actually worth going through and I plan on trying out some of these strategies myself. I’m just waiting for them to release an updated version of some software they offer.
Their Facebook group is EXTREMELY active and provides some great info.
Hi Dax, i am looking at signing up to one of the above courses.
Can you give me an update on what you’re recommending now seeing as its been 7 months since your last response?
Thanks
Hi Jay,
I’m probably due to take a close look at all the options again, but I’d probably still recommend Import Empire right now.
Hi Dax,
How are you?
I have been reading all the reviews provided by you. Thank you for giving honest opinions on different courses.
I am interested in Selling on amazon. What’s your latest recommendation on courses?
I wanted to join ASM8 but could not due to high cost. So I am thinking to join an alternative course and save up money to join ASM later.
Thank you
Cheena
Hi Dax,
Thank you for all of your helpful reviews. I am looking into joining one of the courses. I am leaning towards Marketplace Superheroes. I was just wondering if your opinion has changed which course is the best at the moment? Also do you offer any bonuses at the moment?
Hi Ted. The reviews still reflect my current thoughts, so nothing has changed.
I’m not offering any bonuses right now, but I’m always happy to answer questions here and there.
I’m sorry for the late reply. I only just noticed this comment.
My views haven’t changed since I updated this post, so I generally recommend Marketplace Superheroes or Ecommerce Empire as good alternatives.
Thanks Dax for the quick response. If you don’t mind i have couple more questions for you. Do you feel there still ample opportunity for someone with modest capital to enter the label/FBA model or is it too saturated?
For a beginner who is looking to start from scratch which course would you recommend or they are pretty similar? I am looking for a course that i am willing to follow and dedicate all my energy into it to make sure i get all my monies worth and to be successful.
E-Commerce Empire = $1498.50 (50% Off Coupon)
Ecomm Elite e90x – Enterprise Offer = $997 for first 6 months (Special Offer)
Marketplace Superheroes = $997
Thanks,
Ted
It’s definitely more difficult than it used to be, but there are still opportunities, even with a modest budget.
The courses are similar enough that I’d say any of them are sufficient for someone willing to put in the effort. Success will ultimately depend on you, not on the course you choose, so don’t stress too much about that. With that said, if you want to do wholesaling or dropshipping in addition to private label, then Ecomm Elite is the better choice. Most people tend to want to focus on one strategy though.
I am mostly intrested in FBA model. Would you say that Ecomm Elite is still compatible to E-Commerce Empire or Marketplace Superheroes since i only be focusing on private lablel? I checked and your coupon still works so i am debating if i should just get that course since it’s a steal and you only pay one time. Also from doing my own research i am seeing the name Proven Amazon Course and Amazon Bootcamp v3.0 come up a lot. Do you have any opinion on those? I am thinking the content is probably very basic and you get what you paid for.
The quality of Ecomm Elite for private label is just as good, but it ends up being more expensive if you subscribe for a long time. I like them a lot though.
I haven’t reviewed Amazon Bootcamp 3.0, so I can’t comment on it.
I’ve reviewed the previous version of Proven Private Label (the private label part of Proven Amazon Course) and I honestly thought it was terrible. Unfortunately, I haven’t taken the time to review the updated version, so I don’t know how much it’s improved.
For the most part, you’re right that you get what you pay for with these courses.
Thanks Dax for all the info. It is a tough decision between the 3 but i might just go with Exomm Elite. I just have to sleep on it as i been reading about these courses a lot today. My feeling is that if i sign up for the 6 months I should have a really good idea if the course is for me and if I will be successful. If i am successful and making money than i can afford paying additional monthly fee. Also I think a Exomm Elite will have to keep there course current if they want members to come back.
It’s certainly a good course, so I think you’d be happy with the decision.
It’s not required, but I ask that if you decide to purchase one of the courses I recommend, it’s appreciated if you’d use one of the links on my site.
Hi Dax
Im interesting in starting Amazon FBA, I am based in southamerica and thinking of selling in the US. From the differnet reviews that you have written it looks like the most recomended courses are Market place super heroes and Ecommerce Emprie (Im leaving AMS out due to high cost). Which one of the courses would you recommend?
Also, is your coupon for the Ecommerce Empire still valid?
Thanks!
Hi Diego,
Both Ecommerce Empire and Marketplace Superheroes are very good. I wouldn’t say that one is much better than the other, so you’d be fine choosing whichever seems to be a better fit for you. With either one, your success will be more dependent on your efforts than the difference between the two courses.
I believe the Ecommerce Empire coupon should be working, but you’ll have to check to be sure. If not, please let me know and I’ll reach out to them.
